    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Allison Phayre was a phenomenal professor, one of the best ones I've had actually. She is a very present professor in terms of answering any question you may have whether that's in the lab, in the classroom, or from online while doing homework. She is very fair to each of her students. My favorite part of the course was that if you did well on quizzes, exams, or lab reports she put a sticker on your paper!

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were that every day in class you learned something new that built upon what you learned the following day and what you learned in previous chapters. It makes all of it feel worth it when you know you're learning something that will be useful to you. The professor was always kind, and she's pretty funny too!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study. Study. Study. This course is not one that you are able to go to class, come home and do your homework an pass the quizzes or tests without any other effort put in. Go to class every day and study immediately after what you've learned from the day and apply it to the problems in the back of the book as well as with the homework. Her quizzes and tests are largely based off of her lectures so if you miss one you better connect with a friend that was there.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is great because the teacher is great. Mr Pellock works with you to ensure you understand the material while giving you the tools you need to walk through it on your own. All the lectures are recorded as he gives them so the notes are always available. The tests are all take home, and the homework is a very minor problem.

    Course highlights:

The lectures were great, but the best is Mr P and his endless supply of references and jokes fit to be in a middle school classroom. I learned all about the element of carbon and its various functional groups.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be there, listen, and enjoy your time there, because he is a great teacher that really wants you to succeed.
