    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was very challenging and engaging, it was always at the top of the list for things to be stressed about. Despite this however I learned a lot and Professor Finney was great towards his students and ran his lectures efficiently

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was Professor Finney's in-class demonstrates and the labs. The demonstrations didn't just provide a real-world application of the material but also kept the energy alive in the classroom. The labs would be tricky sometimes but were very interesting, for our last lab we actually made aspirin!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't go in thinking this class will be a piece of cake because it's gen chem. The material is taught at a much higher level and faster rate, its easy to get behind. Reading the book before class is so beneficial and gives you an idea what's going to be discussed. Prof Finney can go pretty fast so its best to understand what he's teaching instead of never-hearing about the material before and getting lost during lecture. Also, the tests are extremely difficult and require a firm understanding of the material.
