    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I loved taking this course from Dr. Ceynar. I thought she was clear with her lectures, providing clear information. But at the same time, she wasn't cut and dry, and I didn't find it hard to pay attention in class.

    Course highlights:

I remember her doing several in-class activities, where we would take part in a mini psychology study. It was like she used us to show an example of a topic, and we could learn by actually taking part in it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend reading the assigned section of the textbook before coming to class. That way, the lecture is more of a re-cap of stuff you read, and provides a different way of explaining things. Plus if something is harder to grasp, you can bring your questions to class.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Ceynar is a very kind and helpful professor, she wants everyone to understand what is going on in class. She is very passionate about this subject and as such her lectures are filled with interesting details and information covering how the brain and senses work, how we perceive the world and other people, how we interact with other people and why we act that way, and psychological issues that may be encountered in life.

    Course highlights:

It was a very humbling experience that really showed me how we affect each other and how those conditions we create tend to shape who we are. There were many instances and demonstrations in which she would show how learning a certain way or focusing on a specific detail can adjust our field of view and make it more difficult or easier to learn something. My favorite part was about interactions among each other and the social cues we pick up on that influence what we do or say.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book, most of the information she goes over in class, but every now and then there are questions that will pop up on quizzes that are directly from the book rather than a PowerPoint slide. I highly suggest reviewing all of the learning objectives she gives you before a test and practicing your knowledge relating to them with another individual

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I was not a fan of this class. There is quite a bit of material that this class covers. The book was online so it was hard for me to study without getting distracted. You have to study a lot for this class in order to excel and I had not experienced that yet from high school.

    Course highlights:

Most of the topics were really interesting but because we had to cover so much we only lightly went over the subjects.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study a lot after every chapter and don't try to just study for the tests and finals all at once. The online chapter quiz's are pretty easy so don't be tricked by them.
