    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Taking one intensive summer biology class is not for everyone, but I enjoyed it. Without other classes, I was more easily able to focus on the subject matter, and I was thinking about it all the time.

    Course highlights:

The class had interesting labs, sometimes with live subjects. We had a genetics lab on corn plants, and a natural selection lab with pill bugs, among others. You really get into the diversity of life; its absolutely fascinating.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do not expect to have much of a life outside of this class. I was working part time while taking the class, and I had practically no free time. If you don't need to, don't get a summer job. Read the textbook every night, and do practice problems on your own time, like the genetic problems.
