Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

English 101 is a good class to have for writing skills and it helps if you take it before English 102

    Course highlights:

I grew with my writing skills and also learned new ways of proof reading other's writing

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes and finish the assignments on time. Also prep for the papers by keeping up to date with due dates rather than putting everything off till last minute

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Kayla seems like a tough teacher at first, but as the quarter progresses, her hardboiled exterior will give way to a kind heart. If you are struggling, she will be glad to help you, and she genuinely wants you to have a good grade.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much more than I thought I would in English 101. Instead of going the conventional way of grammar, revision, etc., Kayla taught us how to back up our arguments and convey meaning clearly and concisely.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are worried about grammar/spelling, use the Writing Center. Kayla is less concerned with technical details than with how much sense your argument(s) make, so know your stuff!

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class is very helpful, we learn how to write essays using APA and MLA format. Ms. Parsons teaches very well and explains a lot of interesting concepts.

    Course highlights:

The best thing that I learned was how to do deep research and to write in depth in my essays using APA or MLA.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Ask Ms.Parsons questions and make sure you check over your essay with you because she gives very good feedback.
