    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although this class is incredibly challenging, the information you will receive is incredibly interesting. You will find yourself applying it regardless of what field you go into!

    Course highlights:

I have a better understanding of how our economy works with different types of businesses. Through the professor's personal knowledge, I have also learned to look at political problems in different ways.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't take this class along with other difficult courses! If you ever find yourself struggling, go to the professor because he is willing to work with you! In addition, be as interactive with your classmates as possible. Through teamwork, I passed this class.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Sorem does an excellent job of running his class. This was an online course, and I've often found that online courses are poorly organized, run, and executed. Professor Sorem, however, arranges things in sensible ways, and is always available to answer questions. He understands that online students have very different lifestyles and is very good at giving a reasonable workload, even for someone who works a full-time job. I learned a lot from this course, and I feel like I earned the 4.0 that I achieved.

    Course highlights:

The textbook was free, which is excellent. I learned about the basics of micro and macro economics. Concepts like supply and demand, scarcity, and the difference between fiscal and monetary policy.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it with Sorem. Also, be prepared to spend a bit of extra money. He does a service learning project that requires you to donate around $10 to a local elementary school class. But don't worry; if you can't do it, he'll accept a short paragraph explaining why you aren't participating.
