Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I thoroughly enjoyed Intro to Soc mainly because of my professor, Raphael Mondesir. He was energetic, did not "believe" in textbooks and helped the students engage in class discussion. Though the work load could be slightly challenging, he did not give us anything that we could not handle, and was very receptive to emails and understanding students situations. He has a passion for the course and for his students. If given the chance, I will definitely take a class led by him again.

    Course highlights:

If you are interested in sociology, or believe that you might be-take this class. You will learn everything from the main figures of sociology to the way sociologist view the world and society. Your way of thinking will be challenge and you will grow a lot intellectually. You will gain knowledge that will help your scope of life and society evolve so that you can be a better and more understanding citizen.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to read. You will have a lot of book work to do, but it typically tends to be very interesting and make you think. You will tend to surprise yourself, but be ready for the course work.
