    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a great introductory class! If you love words and grammar, it's highly likely that you'll love studying linguistics. During this class, you'll get a good idea of what the core classes will entail if you decide to pursue a degree in linguistics and what it takes to be a Linguist.

    Course highlights:

If you take this class, you'll learn basic phonology, morphology, and syntax. You'll also learn what linguists do (and don't do). Fortunately, it doesn't take long to decide whether the study of language is the right path or not. Many students learn right away if they can't handle the natural nerd factor.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you want to succeed in this course, it's simple. Go to class! The more time you spend paying attention and taking notes in class, the less time you'll spend on the homework outside of class.
