Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This chemistry class is not too hard but it is no where near easy. You must put in what you want to get out of the class. I took this course as a pre-requisite for a Nursing major and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to achieve a Bachelor of Science Degree

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course would be the Labs. The chemistry labs helped me visually understand what I was learning in the lecture (class).

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always study. It is highly important that you study and practice the material that you learn, everyday. Do not just memorize everything. Try to understand it fully, so that studying for the test is not so hard and you will know what to expect when you take the test.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were learning about the different components in chemistry and how they affect everyday life.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Review the material handed to you, ask questions if you have them.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Lee is great, and tries to make classes interesting, but she does have an accent that can sometimes be difficult to understand. She uses worksheets and hands-on activities to make sure students are really grasping the content. There is a lot of focus on how to apply chemistry to nursing situations, so if you are not a nursing student, you may not be as interested.

    Course highlights:

I gained a much more thorough understanding of the basics of chemistry than high school courses gave me. The hands-on activities definitely helped a lot, and labs were interesting most of the time.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with the online homework - work on it as you go through the chapter assigned for the unit. Do pre- and post-labs ahead of time. Do not wait until the day before the lab! It makes it so much harder and it becomes much more difficult to know what you are doing in the lab when you are rushing through the pre and post labs.
