    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The instructor had passion for what he was teaching and provided ample resources for students

    Course highlights:

Labs, because they allowed hands on time to learn the material. Having access to all of the lectures and videos online lets students get more study time in at home also.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

read the lectures and watch the video recordings provided! Tests weigh heavily on those as well as your ability to think critically.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I was required to take this course as a prerequisite for my nursing program. However the information I learned in this course alone helped me to make healthier choices and gave me the ability to give care advice to friends and family based on scientific understanding. Human anatomy and physiology isn't just the study of dry scientific facts but the study of how we, as people, function on a very basic level. It shows, in many ways, how we are all the same, deep down. I'd recommend this class to anybody studying any discipline!

    Course highlights:

Personally the highlights for me in A&P was immunology, or the study of the immune system. As somebody going in to the healing arts I was fascinated by the healing mechanisms in us all. We are so complicated and fragile and yet oddly simple and extremely resilient. Of course we learned how all the body's systems functioned and how they integrated with one another. But the immune system was the highlight for me.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Quiz yourself daily. Take online tests and quizzes and play whatever anatomy and physiology games you can find. Just reading and taking notes won't be enough for the kind of retention you'll need to succeed.
