    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a necessary introductory course for any science major or minor, and unless out place out of it there is no way to get around this prerequisite. That said, the class is challenged and it is not hard to get lost if you are not constantly reviewing and practice problems after each lecture. If you need it, professors are willing to meet during office hours or by appointment for any questions you may have.

    Course highlights:

I learned all the basic principles of chemistry, including thermochemistry, kinetics, stoichiometry and equilibrium.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to review the material after each lecture and do all the practice problems the professor assigns. Don't wait until last minute to study for an exam as chemistry is not a subject you can memorize - you need to understand the material thoroughly and analytically in order to do well in the class.
