    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class was a theme based class on the environment. I have not taken a theme based class before, and I really enjoyed having a specific topic that I could expect to be working on during the class.

    Course highlights:

This course helped me to become more aware to the environmental problems going on in the world. I have learned to not look over the issues in the world that may seem small. Those issues can quickly escalate into larger problems.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you are interested in the topic of the class if you are going to take a theme based class. In my experience, the class spend the majority of the class period talking about the environment, so if you're taking a class with a theme, make sure to pick a class that will keep you interested.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a required course, so it is important to take it. It is a great opportunity to learn about political issues.

    Course highlights:

There is a lot of interesting reading and discussion. We talked a lot about refugees and read about a Sudanese refugee.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay caught up on the reading and turn in all essays on time. It's better to turn in an essay that's not perfect on time than turn in a better one later. As long as you make the deadline, you can probably redo or fix it later for full credit.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Parsons is a fantastic teacher. She is a tough grader, but she works with your essays throughout the quarter step by step to ensure you make the best out of your topic.

    Course highlights:

I learned the different types of argumentive essays and how powerful they can be.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Never miss a deadline or class day. Each one is important and will help you succeed.
