    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the professor is very thorough with her information. She creates slideshows with the ideas she's teaching, which helps her not stray from the topic too much and helps the student follow along. The professor is also very knowledgeable on psychology, so any question a person has, she more often than not has an answer. For homework, she has the students complete 'discussion posts'. This involves answering a question that requires critical thinking, which helps the students better develop an understanding for the topic.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot! I learned a lot about mental illnesses and what causes them, tell tale signs of them, and the chemicals in the brain that causes them. I learned about the nervous system and its function, mainly involving the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. I also learned that the way a child is raised has a lot of affect on their personalities.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

A big tip for this class is to work on your time management skills. The course is mentally and time demanding, you have to put work into it, but it's worth it. If you complete all of the assignments the professor provides, you will be able to take away so much from it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I'd recommend this if you have an interest in learning about our brains, our emotions, our actions and how they relate. This is an online course that I'm taking so it really is good for someone with a busy schedule yet has the discipline to sit down and meet deadlines and do the work.

    Course highlights:

My favorite unit was on lifespan psychology. I find it interesting how we develop with time.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you have plenty of time to study each day. There is a lot of information to cover in a short amount of time.
