Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
This course not only taught me how interesting math can be, but the content was fair simple and easy to pick up as well. This course is well worth taking.
Course highlights:
As this class is a math 300 level course, a lot of critical thinking is involved. We learning everything from the basics of a matrix to computing eigenvalues and eigenvectors. There is a good amount of tedious, but fairly simple, calculations to do in this course. I would say that this course is 80 percent theory and 20 percent computation. Although I enjoyed learning the theory aspect of this course than actually computing inverses of matrices and eigenvalues!
Hours per week:
9-11 hours
Advice for students:
Make sure to keep up with your course reading because this course has a lot of theorems so having both read the theorem and hearing about it in class really helps implant it into your brain. For tests, review the theory aspect of the content more than just how to compute certain problems because there might be problems on the midterm or final that you have not encountered before. Enjoy this great course!
