Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class laid a very strong foundation for college-level essay writing, and gave me a close group of classmates I felt comfortable asking for help from.

    Course highlights:

The best part about this class was certainly the professor. Perky, helpful, and all around a shiny gal. Other than that, however, the readings were also almost always a joy.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Revise, always be revising! The best work is done when you show a draft to someone and you take their criticism into real account.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Although there are multiple composition classes for freshmen to choose from, I would highly recommend taking ENGL 131 because it is a great introduction to writing a formal, academic, college essay, and the course is actually very interesting.

    Course highlights:

The most important thing that I learned in this class was how to write a college essay. Going into this class, I thought that writing a college essay was going to be pretty similar to writing a high school essay, but it is actually a lot different, and the professor does a great job of walking you through the steps in writing a college essay.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Even though not all of the assignments will contribute to your final grade, you should still put your full effort into writing each and every essay because each assignment builds upon the one before it, and if you skip an assignment, it's going to be a lot harder to write the next essay in that assignment sequence.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Easiest English class at UW you will ever take. Just write the essays on time and turn them in on time and you will get a 4.0

    Course highlights:

You don't really learn much persay, this course is just to get the requirements out of the way.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Just do your homework. It's not hard.
