Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

As an engineering hopeful, I entered this courses specifically for the credits. However, my professor and TA's enthusiasm concerning this course was infectious. They loved drama, and they wanted us to at least share in that love. I am not a capable actor not am I a lover of theatre, but I couldn't help but enjoy taking this course.

    Course highlights:

First, the course primarily focuses on the literature of theatre, not the acting itself. Although the acting portion is present, it is not overwhelming, so that should not dissuade you from taking the course. The one time I did act was for an assignment, and it was enjoyable. My partner and I were given a short script to follow and told to come up with our own characters, context, and flow to the scene. We settled on east coast gangster. it was a blast.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the plays. Don't only read the sparknotes. Pay attention and take notes during lecture, because you will need them. Don't slack on the final project.
