Pretty easy, overall.
This has been the best course I have taken at UW. It is so applicable to understanding the world in which we live in and can relate to so many majors. I highly recommend this course to students interested in economics, social sciences, politics, human rights, activism or environmentalism. This course truly opened up my eyes and made me grow, because of this class i got involved in an organization on campus and overall view the world a bit differently. The only possible warning is that it was definitely very liberal and left leaning.
The class was fairly easy with one large essay and a midterm and final. The class included topics such as the IMF, World Bank and helped me understand how closely linked global politics and economics are. I learned about structural adjustment programs and how policies can have implications on everyone.

Advice for students:
Go to class, while the reading is helpful and you can learn a lot from it the you could go to class and get a decent grade while still learning a lot. If you have seen like move the true cost and want to learn more this is a good class for you. There is extra credit so that does help.
