    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was such a great way to start off my freshman year at the University of Washington - Seattle Campus. It introduced me to great friends within my major and help solidify my love of marine biology. This course covers everything from ocean currents to the reproduction of coral. It has been by far my favorite course, content wise. I highly recommend it.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course are the field trips that are offered. The field trip I participated in was a field research study at Alki Beach, studying the correlation between tide height and species present. Other field trips included, studying bird populations at the same beach, going out on the University's cruise research vessel, and even picking up trash on a beach.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You should definitely read the textbook even though the readings are just recommended. The readings help you better prepare for the exams and solidify the knowledge you gain during lecture.
