    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was necessary for my major and definitely the hardest of the Biology series at UW. The focus is on microbiology and I had a hard time learning about things that I could not physically touch. Other than that - the class tries to make it as hands on as it can be with labs that have lots of picture cards to learn about processes and the like.

    Course highlights:

I learned about DNA and the molecules within animal life. The Microbiology aspect of biology is difficult but definitely necessary when learning about life.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely stay on top of your reading - and don't fall behind. This course is hard but it is managable.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I find microbiology very interesting as you get to learn about the complexities of the cell! I do not like that Eva Ma is a joint lecturer as she is not very clear in her explanations and her thoughts seem very scattered. The tests were very straightforward. I would recommend doing the practice problems she puts out for midterm preparation.

    Course highlights:

In this course, you will learn about the macromolecules that make up cellular structure. You will learn about how the structures function and interact to give life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do the assigned readings on time and go to lecture. Do the extra problems to get a feel for the questions she will ask on the test.
