    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is intended to be introductory, yet I found it to be extremely difficult. If you are scientifically and mathematically inclined prior to taking the course, you will find it much easier than I did.

    Course highlights:

I learned quite a bit about stars and planets. I found it very interesting to learn the composition of the stars, as well as the distances. You also learn about the positioning of stars and the rotation of the earth and how it pertains to where you will see the stars in the sky.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Prepare to read the book thoroughly and understand all of the math. I would make sure that you are mindful that many terms used in astronomy sound alike so studying is very key to ensuring full understanding.
