Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you are interested in majoring in Athletic Training this is inform you of the types of injuries, situations, and procedures you will have to do. The lectures are informative but the labs are more rewarding. In the labs you are able to learn how to tape, take off equipment properly, and understand the procedures.

    Course highlights:

The labs are more fun because you get that hands on learning. For example, we learned how to take off the face mask on a football helmet to be able to help the athlete's airway. Another thing we did was practice spine boarding and how to do it properly and improperly.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It helps to have a basic understanding of what an Athletic Trainer does or have had experience working with one. If not that is fine to because you may have classmates that have had that experience and they can help you with any confusion. Also the Teachers Assistants are a great help to with any questions you may have.
