    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a great introductory course to the computer science major with its clear lessons and in-depth assignments. Even if you are a student who isn't looking to pursue a degree in computer science, this course will give you a great introduction and basic knowledge of computer science. Whether you are looking to gain basic skill or earn a degree in computer science, this is the class for you.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the clear and in-depth lessons that showed the fascinating things you can do through programming. I gained basic knowledge in computer science and what it means to be a computer scientist. I learned how to make and debug programs like you would in any computer science class, but most importantly I learned how to think like a computer scientist.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students considering this course to be passionate about learning the material and improving your knowledge of computer science. If you take the time to learn the topics of the course, it will be both easy and rewarding.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course only has a prereq of math.. Therefore I have no computer programming experience. Although I would recommend having some idea of programming languages, this class was very useful and challenging.

    Course highlights:

This course taught the basics of Python and gave a better understanding of what is going on behind the scenes in a computer program. This also helped me to better appreciate the normal, standard computer.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It would be smart to have an idea about programming or Python. It is not required and I did not have any experience with it.. But it may help to have a better understanding of the course material.
