    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I definitely recommend this course as an entry level chemist looking to refresh their mind on chemistry skills. This teacher was great and she actually made chemistry fun for me!

    Course highlights:

I learned how to convert units perfectly, which is a hard skill, I also learned more about science and what I wanted to major in by taking this course!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You NEED to come to class. Also always refresh your mind after the lecture by going over the notes and what you learned that day. Study tips would be to get together in small groups with your classmates so you can bounce ideas off of each other when tackling hard problems.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course. Its a GUR for many and required for almost all science majors. Gilbertson was a good prof he used a lot of demos so you were able to see the material in different ways.

    Course highlights:

His demos were definitely my favorite, I learned all the basics of chem.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't put off your homework and prelabs.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because it is the first chemistry class in the general chemistry series. Taking this course gives you an introduction to chemistry and a few of what kind of concepts to see for future chemistry courses.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course was the easy beginning. Since it was the first chemistry class of the series, they begin with understanding basic concepts, so you don't have to start with difficult concepts.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do all the homework and pay attention in class. Also, be careful of which professor you take it from, since some can make the class unnecessarily harder than others.
