    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

As a required course, this class may seem like something to "sigh" about and just get through. This is a wonderful class to put yourself on an even playing field with other students. Especially at a challenging school like Whitman, I was able to minimize my concerns about coming into college somehow behind and gain a reference point for the rest of my Whitman career and beyond.

    Course highlights:

This class was an opportunity to learn beyond just reading. While this was the superficial course description, the opportunity to learn speaking and argument skills was the highlight and allowed for my future success at Whitman.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't get behind on your reading! Ask for help from your friends and professor if you don't understand the prompts or ideas.
