    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it develops useful theories and shows me more interesting and complex applications of what I have learned in previous math courses. What I am learning in differential equations will help me to describe a variety of changing systems.

    Course highlights:

I particularly enjoyed using series in differential equations because a series representation can greatly simplify the solution for an equation. I also enjoyed the use of complex numbers to find solutions near an ordinary point because it allowed me to apply what I know of complex numbers in a real situation to find a real solution.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I highly recommend reading the book thoroughly. The reasoning in the text can at first seem too lengthy and complicated, but once you do get through the reading and worked out examples the problems become much more intuitive. I also recommend that if a certain problem seems impossible doing some extra, easier problems is an effective way to build your skills. It takes time.
