Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Ryan was a great teacher, i definitely got frustrated with one of my papers and wrote my essay assessment about my frustrations and he reached out to me and through a series of emails i got enough help and links to sites that could help me with my future essays.

    Course highlights:

I learned to format my papers correctly and how to use MLA format. I enjoyed that i got to pick my own topics for the essays throughout the course, i think it helps how your paper comes across if you're able to write about something you enjoy talking about.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Feel comfortable talking to other students in the forums and don't hesitate to ask for help. As soon as i asked for help and was proactive about taking the advice my papers went up an entire letter grade.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you want to learn how the writing process works, you're going to want to take this class. You will not like this however if you do not like to think. This professor will assign you with vague assignments and will give you the opportunity to come up with your own topics to write about. If you would rather make your own direction as opposed to following one, this si your class.

    Course highlights:

We learned how to analysis multiple forms of literature. This includes extracting the meaning from themes, motifs, and providing in-depth character analysis.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you follow the writing process. It may seems tedious and pointless at first, but this process drastically improves the quality if written work. And finally, always read the assigned text. Using Sparknotes as a supplement if fine, but do not use this site as your staple.
