    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I enjoyed the University from when I graduated in 2008. I wanted to take some law classes to plan for a doctorate now. This class was in a masters level degree and I just took it until the Universities doctorates were on line. So, in 2008 I felt smart, wise good and wholesome after this class I just feel a little sick though I ended up with an A- the experience was not what I had in 2008.

    Course highlights:

I learned some of the basics of criminal in the United States. I realized that in law due to the fact that most decisions are made based on a precedence the writing is a bunch of repetition and students freedom and creativity are stunted but remember this is law not philosophy. Most times when I brought in philosophical thoughts on a broader scale I would be told that I got off topic the same was met when I would go through cases using simple reasoning again it needed to be linked back to the precedence from former judicial decision. I had a teacher in high school who was making doing well in a class that if us students could not pass her class then we would not be prepared for college. I have a BS in pharmacy, a masters in strategic intelligence ad have never had any college course as ridiculously tricky, not scholarly but sneeky tricky. I have never had a class so miserable until this class.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Get the syllabus early before the class starts to get a head start because I do not agree with 8 week courses but the university would not make any available in certain courses and having a stance that how dare ask for 16 week classes which was what I took during my master's degree.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Wilkin is a fantastic instructor. She takes care to provide feedback on every forum and assignment, not just a grade.

    Course highlights:

This course has me thinking about criminal law and my behavior in different ways. I've found myself using examples from the text in how I teach my children to follow house or school rules.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to do your reading. The course moves quickly and there is a lot of reading. Also make sure to use Bluebook Citation, not APA format.
