Not too easy. Not too difficult.
The professor for this class was extraordinary when it came to making sure students remembered the course content. To this day, I still remember talking about neutralization reactions with water, thanks to the hilarity the lecture.
In Chem 116, you will learn about the basics on cheimcal reactions. Single/Double Replacement, Substitutions, catalytic reactions, and neutralization reactions are the phenomina covered in this class. Additionally, you will learn about solubility rules and whether or not percipitation will occur based on chemical reactions.

Advice for students:
Make sure you are comfortable with logarithmic and exponential mathematics. Especially talking about pH, you will convert between concentrations and pH using these fundamental math skills.
