Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you are interested in poetry, this course will teach you how to write poetry from an idea in your head to a piece of art. You will then be able to share that piece of art will your whole class and all of your friends, and be proud of your final product.

    Course highlights:

In this class, we learned about different poetic forms that exists, from very structural forms like Haikus to free style. My favorite style was freestyle. At first, I thought that freestyle poetry would be a little chaotic for me because of the lack of form. I learned that it is to be used for a specific purpose, usually description, and if used that way, it can be quite effective.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are going to take this course, be prepared to share intimate experiences with your class through poetry. For me, certain topics of poetry became very personal. Also be prepared to be around people who are serious about writing. This class combines both the beginning and advanced writers, many who have taken the class many times
