Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was a wonderful opportunity to learn all of the necessary skills needed to be a nurse. Annette did a great job on explaining everything needed for the course. I had a chance to ask questions and go through the skills in the classroom before practicing them in the CLC to make sure that I knew what to practice.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to start IVs, how to give injections, how to place a nasogastric tube, clean a tracheostomy tube, and place a urinary catheter. Annette did a great job walking through each of the skills in class and giving us time to walk through the skills in the classroom. This gave the students a chance to practice and ask questions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The only advice that I have for future students is that this course will give you the skills needed for becoming a nurse and make sure that you practice. Also doing the worksheets before each class is very helpful for understanding most of the information needed for each of the skills. I had a very easy time in the course but I knew of some students who struggled or failed the course. If you know that this class will be difficult for you, get a tutor and go to study groups.

    Course Overview:

You learn the skills that as a nurse you will be doing at least once a day.

    Course highlights:

Take the modules seriously because you learn a lot from them. Practice over and over the skills. Learn from the monitors in the CLC.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice over and over the skills. Learn from the monitors in the CLC. Apply the techniques you learn. Also, understand the rational behind everything you do.
