Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course pushes you to dive into the reading, think outside of the box and forces you to find themes and research what you do not understand. This class is one that helps strengthen students as readers and not only makes them a strong student in that specific course but also in other courses that are heavy in reading.

    Course highlights:

We read three interesting novels and then get to choose one of our own. I chose a novel that I know I would normally not pick up to read. Because I had done so, I am now interested in stretching my reading materials to things I would never consider. I learned that there is more to reading that just the words on the paper. There are many things that are hidden between the lines and if you don't understand something, talk about with another who is reading the same text or research what it means.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This course really encourages you to push yourself further and challenges you as a student. This was a positive experience and truly helped me as an overall student in all my courses. I identified personal habits and personal ways that helped me understand the text and to do my work. Be sure to engage yourself and do the work. Stay on target or ahead and be sure to participate.
