    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it really gives you the background knowledge of basic biology before entering upper level biology courses. However, this class what extremely difficult in terms of just how much information a student needs to know for tests, quizzes, and the final. It was an extremely different pace compared to a high school biology course. A positive take away from that aspect of the class though, is the fact that it prepares you for the upper level biology course in the way you need to study and prep for exams.

    Course highlights:

Because this course is Functional Human Biology, it always relates back to the body. While it is not Anatomy & Physiology, it still gives the student a glimpse as to how the body works at the micro level. So this course is a great prerequisite for Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, and even some Organic Chemsitry. This class really encompasses a broad range of topics while still holding true to being a biology course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely recommend reading the book as well as study the PowerPoint presentations. Also keep up with the readings! The worst thing you can do is fall behind and feel like you are never going to catch back up.

It is taught by him and if you need to take it especially for your major then there is not much you can really do about it.

    Course highlights:

There is a lot of information in this class and it is not easy to take in.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard if you think you know it then you do not know. Just make sure you know the information like the back of your hands.
