Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a course that MBU requires, so you don't have much choice if you are enrolled.

    Course highlights:

Learning the Baptist distinctive's was the most interesting part of the course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do the reading. The study guides are really helpful, and pretty easy if you fill them out while you do the reading.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Beyond being a required gen. ed., it was immensely interesting and educational to learn about the history of the baptist denomination. The teacher is one of the best I've ever had, combining humor and deep topics perfectly.

    Course highlights:

I learned a great deal about history, and how the Baptist denomination came to be what it is today.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to study the notes. There are a lot of names and dates to keep track of.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course gives an excellent overview of the Old Testament of the Bible, and the course may especially be helpful for those who feel they lack good core Bible knowledge. Old Testament Survey is a lot of fun as well, having a variety of different approaches to learning about the Old Testament.

    Course highlights:

My faith in the Bible was further solidified, and I also felt more confident in my knowledge about the history and events of the Old Testament as a whole. A new aspect of the Scriptures always came out when a book of the Bible was taught over, even though I had read many of the books previously.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Come into class with a desire to learn! Even though the class may sound boring at first or even seem useless to take, it will open your eyes more to the Bible's truths and teachings! Also, try to read ahead on the class reading. If there is one thing I could have done differently, I would have tried to read the assigned Bible chapters ahead of time.
