    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a new teacher to Mt. Mary U, but he has some experience from UW Madison. He had 300 students and lectured, but now he has 20 and has some trouble relating.

    Course highlights:

The basics of biology. It is a good introductory course for the nursing track that I am on.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to be ultra-organized and learn the concepts, not just memorize the base material. The exams do not follow a straight line of thought.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it is an important course that deals with human lives. We all know that life is important because humans where specially made. We treat them according to how they where created. It is important to know this course because it deals with life in general and it's all about our caring for those in need, about keeping a healthy environment and also helps in knowing people rather than family(working together). Studying this course, I have gain confidence in myself. Without having confidence in myself that I can make it then how can I have confidence in helping another person. The course is quiet challenging and it take determination to become successful in this course, why

    Course highlights:

I gained confidence of working in group and I also gained a great understanding about the way the body regulates. E.g. As a BIO 100 student I first learnt about bonds.what is this (NaCl- sodium chloride )? it is a salt molecule and what is its type of bond? Well we have different types of bonds. Salt is an ionic bond. It is ionic because it deals with transfer of electrons. Sodium(Na) transferan electron to the chlorine(Cl), giving sodium a positive charge and chlorine a negative charge. Why? Ok protons carries the positive charge and electron carries the negative charges. Let's say Your You have a pen(+) and a dollar(-) and I have 2 pen(+) and 2 dollar(-) too. You are Na while am Cl. We want to buy something that is worth three dollars. You have just a dollar and would need two more dollars to round the figure to the required amount but in my own case I'll need just a dollar. Since I have the highest amount, you'll then have to transfer you dollar to me so I can buy the toy, leaving you with just a positive pen(Na+) and I'll have a more negative dollars(Cl-). Sodium gives one lectron to chlorine which gives chlorine more negative charge and sodium more positive charge

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I'll say that student in this field should but more effort because this field is not all about the name but it's also bout life

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is not a lecture based class. Every class has an activity that students do together in groups.

    Course highlights:

The central dogma and the basis of biology is taught and is extremely important in this class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Since this isn't a lecture based class and all the work is done in class, this is not a good class to miss unless absolutely necessary.
