    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class if you wish to learn about how people behave in groups rather than individually, or if you're interested in a career in social work. However it is a pretty dense class, so be prepared for a lot of reading.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course included watching videos and being able to witness real world examples of what we were studying, and understanding that it wasn't just a concept in a textbook in college, it was a way to better understand our real world.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Set aside time to really read the chapters. The online quizzes are not as easy and you'd think, so reading is very important. Also, it is a three hour class so just keep that in mind and be prepared for anything you might need, such as a snack.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If it is part of your chosen major, it will be a required course. However if it is not, I recommend you only take this course if you like sociology. I took this course because of my interest in psychology, but this course was not what I expected. It wasn't a bad class, it simply repeated itself a bit.

    Course highlights:

I have gained some knowledge about the way that society behaves as a collective "organism" instead of how an individual behaves in response to another individual or society. It was an interesting class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes. Pay attention in class, and sit in the front. The professor seemed to grade more leniently for those who participate in class, sit near the front and pay attention.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Sociology destroyed my solid viewpoints that I had on society as a functioning machine. It ripped it apart, reevaluated every working piece, made every piece more complex, and put it back together. The final product was a better understanding of how the world works, and how people of the world interact. Sociology 101 is a class all should take, even if it isn't within one's scope of study. It changed the way I think about the world.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about myself and how I play a role in society, and I also learned about society as a whole. I learned to view events with a sociological perspective, something ordinary people can learn and practice. We learned the contrast in cultures, and how that leads to certain situations.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

This course has a good amount of reading, however the class was enjoyable. Each class you learn something new.
