This class was tough.
In this course, be prepared to do a lot of studying. With three exams to control a majority of your grade, make sure you know your information right off the bat. The lab is an interesting learning environment if you are in a strong group. The lecture is interesting depending on the professor that teaches it, and the information is given to the students in a very accessible approach.
I enjoyed my lab for this class the most, I thought it was the most interesting out of the course. I learned a lot about alluvial and glacial impacts that are in our environment today. I am able to walk around campus and detect certain features that I learned about in class and lab, which was a strong accomplishment to be able to take new information and apply it to real world situations.

Advice for students:
Study, study, study! I cannot stress that enough. Don't be afraid to go to the professor's office hours to discuss questions that you don't quite understand. Make sure you study in groups and quiz each other on diagrams and pictures. If you use the textbook to your advantage, you will be able to detect the exam questions a lot easier as well!
