This class was tough.
This course is required but is crucial in the fundamental concepts of language development and in determining the therapy approach for a child. The professor organized the course in 3 sections, assessment, evaluation, and intervention. Throughout the course we worked on a case study applying our knowledge.
The highlights of this course were learning how to administer both an articulation assessment and phonological pattern assessment. We learned how to analyze the results of these assessments and determine the severity of the disorder as well determining eligibility. The professor answered questions consistently and was very helpful.
