    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is required but is crucial in the fundamental concepts of language development and in determining the therapy approach for a child. The professor organized the course in 3 sections, assessment, evaluation, and intervention. Throughout the course we worked on a case study applying our knowledge.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were learning how to administer both an articulation assessment and phonological pattern assessment. We learned how to analyze the results of these assessments and determine the severity of the disorder as well determining eligibility. The professor answered questions consistently and was very helpful.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Time management. The concepts of this course build on each other so you must understand the initial concepts in order to understand the following concepts. There is a lot of application of skills in this course, therefore if you are having difficulty understanding, just ask, the professor is very helpful.
