    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class will take up your life because you have to study your butt off. He's a tough grader, but Halfen will give you a little wiggle room in terms of grading. You have to teach yourself a lot of it so make sure you go to the S.I sessions every time because they will help!

    Course highlights:

Getting a study group and knowing everyone is going through the same thing you are helps makes this course a little better!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read your book everyday. If you don't understand something... ASK!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is not particularly adept at conveying the important information that you'll be tested on so I would highly recommend reading each chapter of the book that you go over in lecture and take notes both in class and while reading the chapter, then type up or rewrite all those notes in an organized manner to give yourself a good base for studying and a more complete understanding. Definitely take advantage of any practice tests or TA sessions.

    Course highlights:

This course simply gives a basis for more complicated chemistry to come, but many of the physical properties of the world around us can be described using what you learn in this class, and its definitely enlightening. The lab portion of the class is probably the most interesting, make sure you give that part of the class its due attention.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the chapters in the book, take a lot of notes, use flashcards or rewrite those notes multiple times, take advantage of practice tests and TA sessions, attend every lecture, do all homework! These are the most important things to remember.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Theisen did a great job teaching this class and I really felt that I learned a lot.

    Course highlights:

Everything counts as a grade. Even if you bombed the tests, the homework helped your grade come back up.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class. It's not required but it helps a lot
