    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was a really tough course, and as a freshman, It was a rude awakening. I always thought that I was pretty good at math, but this class really kicked my butt. It foreshadowed what college would be like. It taught me better study habits, and how to deal with failure. The material was hard, I ended up finishing with a BC, but my professor made it more than worth it. He was a super nice, SUPER helpful man, that offered plenty of extra credit and out of class help.

    Course highlights:

It taught me valuable study habits, and my professor was awesome. I learned how to acutally deal with a hard college classs and how to work harder at homework. It also taught me how truly valuable visiting professors during office hours can be.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Find a study group, work together, make sure everyone understands the material, and see the professor often. He'll like you more if you show interest in his class, and he'll be more willing to help. And Study A LOT.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend Dr. Kim for this course because he teaches it in an easy to understand fashion. I would recommend taking PreCalculus because it is one of the few math courses that has free tutors in the library which makes it easy to get the help you need if you aren't able to understand certain concepts.

    Course highlights:

From this course I learned how to do a writing project on math, learned about derivatives, functions, and graphs.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the WebWorks, and make sure to study. In this course it is easy to think that you know the concepts but you don't always know them as well as you think you do so make sure to study no matter how prepared you feel.
