    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor would spend lots of time talking about something before saying it wasn't important in terms of what we needed to learn. Expect to teach yourself and go to tutors. Quizzes, tests, and projects were extremely hard; even take home quizzes can take you all day long to finish. Many times tutors couldn't even help me.

    Course highlights:

I did learn a better ways to solve trigonometric problems. I'd say the biggest highlight of the class was making a lot of friends in it, because you will need to in order to pass the class with a good grade.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with book work assignments. While they are not graded, they are closest to what will be on the test. Make friends in the class to study with- you will really rely on each other. Take advantage of extra credit- he gives a lot of opportunities, and it is what will save your grade. Don't worry if the online homework is difficult. While this is actually graded, the majority of content will most likely not show up on the quizzes or tests.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course sets the basis for what is yet to come in Calculus I. The course introduces new ideas while also tying together previous concepts learned.

    Course highlights:

The professor is humorous. He is also very willing to meet during Office Hours to help you understand the lessons. You will earn the grade for the amount of dedication you put in.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Have an open mind going into the course. Embrace the teaching style, and don't fall behind on the WebAssign

    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

In comparing this course to the precalc class I took in high school, this class is the bare minimum. Kattchee seems very relaxed about the material but is very picky about grading tests and is VERY uncooperative in making up points if you are out sick for a number of days. The material isn't really hard and it's easy to get distracted in his class.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of this course are that homework online is for completion and the book homework assigned is not collected or graded. If you're good at math you won't have to do the book work at all. The info really wasn't into graphing much, if that helps. It's more the math process rather than graphing and doing story problems.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always go to class because you do group work assignments that are graded for participation points.
