    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this class to anyone that goes through the UW system. It's very helpful in explaining the struggles and realities of everyday life for the people of the minority groups. Coming from a small town, I was unaware of a majority of things learned in this course. For me, it was very helpful in being more understanding and unbiased in many situations.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of this course was getting to see things through other people's eyes and beginning to understand the struggles of other racial or ethnic groups. Nobody ever realizes all that these minority groups struggle with until they have to take a course like this.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you take this course, you will have to put a lot of time and effort in to it if you want to succeed. Also, make sure to stay up to date on the readings that are assigned.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the course, but just make sure you read the syllabus ahead of time. The class is easy enough, and if you were to not skip and do some of the reading, you will have no problems in the course.

    Course highlights:

I gained a perspective and knowledge of white privilege. We also learned a lot about Native American tribes, which I thought was really interesting.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Just make sure you can get yourself to class. The class is not meant to be really difficult.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to everyone because it offers vital discourse on racism in America. You really understand how race has infiltrated our society and our lives.

    Course highlights:

I gained so much insight into how racism is imbedded in our institutions. The course covered historical race relations as well as contemporary issues.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention to the discussions and try to soak in all of the information that's presented to you.
