This class was tough.
Dr. Wilker is a wonderful professor. He actually knows his material. His teaching style is unique in that he makes try to teach yourself the material. Don't be confused here. He teaches the material to you, then makes you practice teaching it to each other so you can fill gaps on what you don't know. I learned that teaching others is how you actually learn the best. It forces you to tell someone all you know about a topic.
The highlights of the course was probably learning about immunological diseases and at the microscopic level, how they worked. For example, you learn about what HIV is, and how it causes AIDS, which in turn causes death.

Advice for students:
Try to teach a friend or peer what you learn from every lecture. His exams are difficult. You must know how every element of the material is related to each other in order to understand the whole picture. Immunology is such an incredibly interesting topic. He is very approachable so don't be scared to ask questions!
