Pretty easy, overall.
The professor was so nice. She was willing to do anything to help us through the course and to have a good time learning the material. I loved this course because it was interesting to learn new material about different cultures and how to treat them if they needed our nursing help. Before the course, I would look through the Nursing 200 notes to remind yourself the different stages of development. If you have any questions do not be afraid to ask because she loves answering questions and she loves talking about new topics in a culture.
I learned new cultures that we could see in our nursing career. The best part was how to treat the patient properly and the interesting things about each culture. For example, some cultures will look to husbands or fathers for assistance in decisions, so if the patient is a women and not answering questions you have to make sure you ask the man in the family for answers. This will help all nurses in the field so they can be prepare for anyone coming through their doors.
