    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Vater Olsen is a very nice professor but is not the greatest teacher. You have to spend a lot of time out of class to understand the material.

    Course highlights:

I know a lot more about chemistry now.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not fall behind. It will be almost impossible to catch up.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this class because it gives you a deeper understanding of the periodic table and how elements play very important roles in our every day lives.

    Course highlights:

I would recommend this class, but it is far from an "easy A". Aside from the curriculum, this course taught me that if I wanted to succeed, I needed to put in the work. I could not slack off on a Sunday night because my Netflix show was too interesting or on a Friday night when all of my friends were going to the party. This class is very thorough. It covered everything from memorizing the periodic table, to moles, to conversions, and much more. This class was heavily based on math, so if your math skills are not the sharpest or the greatest, I recommend taking a basic algebra course before registering in Chem 101.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The biggest key to success in Chem 101 is STUDY. Study, study, study. There is never a moment of time in college when taking science when you have nothing to do. Study every moment you can. The worst thing you could possibly do is fall behind on studying and having to cram everything in before the exam. My major recommendation to future students is, if your university provides study sessions where a student reteaches the material went over in lecture, attend them every chance you get. The more study sessions you go to, the better your grade will be. .

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Olson seems extremely hard and terrifying but you will thank him by then end of the course. He makes you work hard but it pays off, just do your work and study hard.

    Course highlights:

This course taught me how to do chemistry. It came in handy in my other nursing classes. Pay attention in the class because it is important for the future classes.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't be afraid to get help, and ask questions during class. Take time to study.
