Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class seems a little intimidating at first, but Art History with Professor Ball is so fun. He makes it engaging and interesting to learn. There's no homework, so your only focus is studying for quizzes and tests.

    Course highlights:

This class covered such a large timeline of art and yet we still learned so much. We covered art from Ancient Egypt all the way through the Italian Renaissance. I think the Roman art was my favorite, just because that is the Professor's area of interest (he's done work in Pompeii), and you can tell how enthusiastic he is about the material.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you take the class seriously. Even though he doesn't take attendance, records everything and posts it online, don't feel like you can get by strictly listening to the recordings online. And it's much easier to follow the lecture when you are present. Read the textbook. The entry level art history textbook is one he wrote himself. Most of all, don't quit. It's really not a tough class once you get a feel for what he is looking for in the essays. That first essay you get back may seem rough, but keep going.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It wasn't a class that held my interest. Nothing that she lectures about is on her exams. If you want to actually do well in the class take the reading in the discipline, do all the extra credit quizzes and use quizzlet to study

    Course highlights:

There is a create an art piece assignment and even if you aren't artistic it's the most fun thing that you do in the class and then you have the chance to see what all the other students have done. Some people have some impressive talents and they aren't even arts majors.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you have trouble paying attention this is not the course for you to take. She is not great at lecturing. The exams contain a lot of pointless questions.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved this course. I loved the professor and her passion for the subject. I loved the material and the way it made me think.

    Course highlights:

I loved about all types of art and why it was important.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study your terms, but don't think about the art too much just remember what she taught us during lectures.
