This class was tough.
This is a required course for all business majors, and it can be very challenging. It is taught by only TAs and you may have a TA that is not good at teaching the material. Because of this, you have to primarily teach yourself.
Although the structure of the class is poor, the material you learn is valuable. Accounting is the language of business and it's vital to understand it when working for a company. Some highlights of accounting 100 is learning the time value of money and how it relates to issuing bonds and notes receivables, so you can adequately value the present amount of future earnings.

Advice for students:
Practice problems!! I often spent too much time reading the book to understand the concepts, but I learned that it's easier to grasp the concepts simply by doings a lot of problems. When you force yourself to critically think to solve the questions, retaining the information becomes much easier.
