Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The courses is great. It require some work, but it's not that hard as long as you pay attention and come to class. There are pre-quiz before every class and homework is give out every 2-3 weeks. There are 4 exams in the semester, including the final. During class, there are three teaching assistant, that can help you if you get stuck in a problem on your homework or in class. The teacher is amazing. If you need extra tutoring or studying with her, she would make the time out for you and help you understand the material.

    Course highlights:

I love the group of people I was working with. They were able to help me to understand things I made a mistake on. I like the TA we had because he was bale to create a fun environment that enable me to learn.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your pre-quiz before you come to class because it gives you an eye opener on what you are going to be learning in class. Make use of the TA, lab hours, and teacher when you need help.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I personally wouldn't recommend it due to the teaching style of the specific instructor I had. If you find yourself in my position while taking this course the office hours with other instructors and TAs can be extremely helpful.

    Course highlights:

I actually gained a lot of confidence in my mathematical abilities. Coming into a class pretty low in the math department I felt a little discouraged in the beginning and as a freshman I was still a little unsure of myself. Besides college level algebra this course taught me how to use my resources. I was having difficulties, but being a persistent person I learned to get help from TAs, go to office hours, and use the online tools provided for us. Without all of those things, I don't believe I wouldn't been as successful in this course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely don't be discouraged in the beginning. Just because you may not understand something right away doesn't mean you'll never be able to understand it. Push through and use the resources available to you, also be thorough when completing your homework and making sure you have practiced your skills enough for upcoming test. The key to being successful in this class is being determined.
