    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It is not a difficult course, but it gives a great overview of the basic principles, tools, and thought processes engineers use.

    Course highlights:

I learned many skills from basic sketching, to 3D modeling. You learn how to to calculations in the machine shop to machine very accurate and detailed parts. You learn how to analyze data sets and perform statistical analysis which at the moment is the "highest paying" skill to have in the workforce.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Think outside of the box on homework and come up with multiple ways to solve the problem. The benefit you will receive will be much greater.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Introduction to engineering fundamentals. Course begins with topics such as technical reports, oral presentation, basic Microsoft Office suite. After the "fundamentals" the class starts learning 3D CAD Modeling.

    Course highlights:

    CAD(ptc creo parametric 3.0) and basic drafting/sketching

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Download the free student version of creo if your a Windows user. If you use linux i believe freecad can open the same file architecture. If your a Mac user buy a computer with windows or linux, your an engineer student not an art student. Being familiar with another parametric CAD package (I learned SolidWorks in high school) makes the transition to Creo effortless. Tests are short so getting even one question wrong will drop a letter grade.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was fantastic. It gave a very rounded look at becoming an engineer.

    Course highlights:

In this course, we went over technical communication. We had to create speaches about different kinds of cars which included learning about the cars so that we could talk about all there specks. The other cool thing we did was used three-d modeling softwear to create differnt parts and also learned how to use the software in industry.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say try and have fun and try new things in the class. It starts off a tad hard but once you get into it its really fun. My advice is to just do your homework and to get used to working well in groups.
