Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Oftentimes you can snag a good computer spot if you don't hang out at the most popular places at UBC. Otherwise, the cost for printing is ridiculous. There is definitely enough parking room at UBC, but BEWARE! They will make you pay, and suffer if you forget.

    Course highlights:

First Year Sciences – In first year Sciences, most of the professors offer decent office hours where they are available to answer questions. As well, most areas of study offer a resource center where graduate students can assist you with your work.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Lots of Asians – Often referred to as the "University of a Billion Chinese", UBC is known for its large Asian population. However, reflective of Vancouver's multicultural community, there are many races present on campus.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dorms at UBC are very clean and well furnished. You are never too far away from classes by walking or by bus. There are always laundry services in which you buy a card and reload when necessary.

    Course highlights:

I have many friends who have had roommates that are barely home because they live so close by which I believe is a waste of living space for those who really need it. It's a big problem that needs to be addressed.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The biggest thing I think they need to change is lottery for dorm/housing after your first year. There is no preference for international students and students that are out of province, which is a big problem as real estate/renting is ridiculously expensive in Vancouver.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

THe printing system is very efficient, although I believe there should be a few more printing stations. It is very easy to connect your laptop to the wireless network the the internet speed is very high.

    Course highlights:

University Village – It's not actually off-campus, as it's very close to the campus. You will get a variety of dining option here, such as Mexican, Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese, Indian and Greek food. Also, Starbucks and McDonalds are also available.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The cost is affordable for students, it maybe a little bit pricey but conveniency is far more important than the price when there is only an hour lunch break and you need to fill your stomach with good food.
