Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Tara Mayer is what makes this course enjoyable. She shows extreme enthusiasm about the subject, and being a history course about very specific topics, it would be quite easy to get lost or lose interest in the subject matter. She is a fair marker, has fair expectations, and makes me want to go to class.
The term I took this course, the subject was "Global Gandhi" and I went into the class knowing absolutely nothing about Gandhi or about the history of India. I learned a lot about his political influence but I appreciated that prof Mayer didn't simply preach how amazing and how god-like Gandhi was, she made arguments for why he was great and why he wasn't so great.

Advice for students:
Ensure you get Tara Mayer as a professor. Do at least some of the readings and do a lot of research for the only two essay assignments for the whole year.
