Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

You see, I lived in the Seattle area for almost 4 years and, once a month, I would go to Vancouver BC to be someplace more "European" (signs in kilometers and meters and words like harboUr, grEy, and centRE.

    Course highlights:

which was easily done because the distance from Seattle to Vancouver was about the same as that between my native Los Angeles and San Diego. That means I've been to Vancity at least 45 times from Seattle and, with trips from other places I've lived, that number is even higher.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

At about the midpoint is a residence like Gage Towers. Tall concrete structures of the Jetsonian era, they have about 6 rooms on each floor that open onto a central core area with a bathroom and a kitchenette / salon. Breakfast is included. Parking is not.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The science workload is obviously a lot, but if you're smart enough to get in, then you can handle it.Everything's Within Your Reach – Vancouver is a big city and there are certainly a lot to do here. However.

    Course highlights:

feeling like going to Japan? Visit the Nitobe Memorial Garden that the Emperor of Japan has visited. Feeling green? Go study in the CIRS building, the greenest building in North America at the moment.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

UBC is a bit to the edge of the city, experiencing a much safer and chiller atmosphere for students. Tired of class? Take a short walk to the Wreck Beach and enjoy the sun there (or rain).you have to find them, they don't find you. But its pretty easy to find a club simply by typing in your interests into the search bar.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Most of the class sizes are acceptable. Labs and tutorials are pretty interesting and helpful too. Study areas are more than enough on campus, you will always find a comfortable and suitable place to study either alone, or with a bunch of friends.

    Course highlights:

Lots of Asian Students. There are a lot of people from all over. The Asian population is very large and segregates themselves from most other groups.Small Programs Brings People Together – I am at UBC taking the Geological Engineering program (GEOE).

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

GEOE is currently the smallest engineering program in the engineering faculty and I would not have it any other way. I have gotten to know all my fellow GeoEngs and made some good friends. In addition we all study together and help those who are struggling with the material.
